Nervures

Création 2013

Here, Fabrice Lambert takes the stage and embark himself in a dialogue with a mobile crafted for the occasion by artist Xavier Veilhan. He thus gives substance to a reflection on the networks that organize our lives, exploring, in his interaction with the work, the effects of chain reactions.

“Nervures is in our midst, it runs through us. It's a network. It's an incessant circulation. Nervures evokes irrigation. Like a microscopic river. Between the source and the estuary...
I place myself between these two points, in the middle of the river.
I'm at a precise moment in a landscape that's not just outside me. I am part of it. I constitute it.”

“With Nervures, I'd like to dwell on what links us, today, to a raw, primitive nature. Nervures was inspired by a series of interviews I conducted with blind people, who expressed and questioned, with their own blindness, the nature of the world and their relationship to the notion of landscape and, by extension, to nature. I met visual artist Xavier Veilhan and we exchanged around these concerns. He created mobile n°8 for this piece. On stage, the relationship between man and the mobile, an object with multiple ramifications, becomes a metaphor for modern man confronted with the realities he questions at every turn” Fabrice Lambert
